The Netgear DG834GT has a Broadcom 6348 chipset and it is fully compatible with RouterStats and RouterStatsLite.
The target SNR margin can be changed through telnet, RouterStats, DMT tool or through unofficial firmware such as DGTeam.
The DG834GT performs well on long lines because of its Broadcom chipset. It is highly recommended for Be* lines since the chipset matches the DSLAM used in Be* exchanges.
The DG834GT was widely destributed by Sky Broadband; in their default state, Sky DG834GTs are locked, but they can be easily unlocked using a guide from Kitz. They then function identically to standard DG834GT. Sky DG834GTs can be picked up very cheaply from eBay.
